The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the General Electric
Company (GE) have announced a recall of certain GE built-in combination
wall ovens, often called "micro-oven combos" (specifically, a wall oven
with an attached microwave). This recall includes 92,032 micro-oven
combos manufactured from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2003.

Thermador Oven
Recall (updated July 14, 2007)
Thermador has announced a safety recall on Built-In
Single Ovens and Combination models which have a conventional Oven and a
Microwave. The oven can have gaps in the insulation where overheating
may occur and when used in the self-cleaning mode it can cause nearby
cabinets to overheat. This can pose a fire hazard to consumers. The
units were sold from March 2004 to present.
Below is a list of the affected model numbers:
C271B, C301B, SEC271B, SEC301B, SEM272B, SEM302B, SEMW272B, SEMW302B
(Serial number that falls between FD8403 and FD8701)
If your oven is one of the effected models please call 1-800-701-5230
between 7AM and 11PM Eastern time, Monday through Friday, to arrange for
a fee in home repair.
Do not put the oven into self clean until it has been checked, and if
necessary repaired, by an authorized service technician. |
GE Monogram
Built-in Range Recall

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the
General Electric Company (GE) have announced a recall on certain GE
Monogram built-in ranges. This recall includes 2,649 ranges manufactured
from October 1, 2005 to May 16, 2006. These ranges were manufactured
with a design flaw that can cause an electrical arc between the wiring
and the griddle gas-supply tube and catch fire.

million GE built-in dishwashers manufactured from September 1997 to
December 2001. The units were manufactured between

Maytag Front Loading Washing
Machine Recall
The recall involves Maytag
washer with model numbers beginning with MAH9700 or MAH8700. The
units were sold nationwide from April 2005 through August 2006. Not
all serial numbers are subject to the recall. The model and serial
numbers are located on a tag at the bottom of the door opening.
Maytag models with serial number ending in the last two letters
identified below are subject to the recall:
2005: GA GC GE GG GJ GL GN GP GR GT GV GX
2006: JA JC JE JG JJ JL JN

Dishwasher Recall
The recall involves Maytag and Jenn-Air under counter or portable
plastic tub dishwashers. The dishwashers have black, white, almond,
bisque and stainless steel front panels. The following model and
serial numbers are printed on a label located on the dishwasher's
plastic frame on top of or to the left of the door opening.
